Bios

• Kavita

  Kavita is the owner of the Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola University, Maryland. Additionally, she has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Audit from the University of Mumbai. Kavita has worked as a teacher and as the Director of Education for the past 15 years. Kavita believes the role of an educator is to prepare children to join the larger community as confident, joyful learners and peace-oriented citizens of the world.

• Jane

  Jane is excited to join The Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Bachelors of Science in elementary education and has been working in the field early childhood education for the past 36 years, most of which have been in management. Jane believes in creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn through play and self discovery. Jane has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Jane lives in Aston, PA with her husband and her dog.

• Katelyn

  Kate joined The Goddard School in 2018. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 10 years. She has a bachelors' degree from Neumann University in Early Childhood Education Pre-K to 4th grade with a Special Education Certification. She also has her CDA. She has coached girls softball as well. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends and going to the beach.

• Annalee

  Miss Annalee received her bachelors degree from Holy Family University and has her teacher certification in PreK through 4th grade. Annalee has worked as an instructional assistant, a building substitute and has also taught second grade. Teaching has always been a passion of hers. She hopes to instill a love of learning in her students, so they become life-long learners. In her free time, she loves to read, play video games, and take care of all of her pets.

• Miss Colleen

  Miss Colleen has over twenty years experience working with children. She been a part of the Goddard family since 2019. Colleen has her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Neumann University. She spent five years teaching third grade and another three years teaching second grade. After taking time off to be a stay at home mom Miss. Colleen went back into the school environment to work with special needs children. Miss Colleen enjoys teaching and loves working with her class at the Goddard School. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and loves everything Disney related.

• Mr Jason

  Mr. Jason has taught Head Start, PreK Counts and Kindergarten in Philadelphia for the past 12 years. He currently has an M.Ed. in Education from Temple University with a Level 2 Early Childhood Certification in Pennsylvania. He has mentored new teachers as well at different program sites across Philadelphia. He loves seeing children learn and grow as responsible students getting ready for Kindergarten and beyond. In his free time he keeps himself busy with his pets, house projects and outdoor activities like gardening and playing with his pug "Connor".

• Karin

  Miss Karin moved to the United States 18 years ago from Sweden. She has been working with infants to kindergarten age for over 18 years and loves every minute of it. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2019. During the summer time she coaches swimming at Riddlewood swim club. On her time off, she loves spending time with her husband, two children and cats. She enjoys taking care of her honey bees, making soap and other crafts.

• Miss Nadiyah

  Nadiyah has her CDA as well as over fourteen years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Nadiyah has been apart of the Goddard family since 2017. Nadiyah enjoys working with the children in her class each day. She enjoys singing and laughing with all of the children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

• Natashia

  Natashia has been working in childcare for 17 years. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and plans on going back to school for her bachelor’s degree. She wants to continue to grow as a professional and be a positive role model to the children in her class. She was born in Germany and lived there until she was one. She now resides in Chester PA with her family. She is excited to be a part of the Goddard family!

• Rosalyn

  Rosalyn has been apart of the Goddard family since 2022. Rosalyn has her CDA and over twenty-two years’ experience in the early childhood field. She enjoys reading and teaching the children, especially preschoolers! In her free time Rosalyn likes to spend time with her husband, two children, and two grandchildren. She also keeps busy with her five dogs and guinea pig!

• Sherrina

  Sherrina has been working in childcare for over 10 years with all age groups ranging from infants to school age, but she has spent the most time with Toddlers. She also has her associate degree in early childhood education. She has a 16-year-old son, and her favorite color is purple. In her free time, she likes to go to amusement parks and other fun places with her family. She also loves to read books.

• Danalynn

  Dana has been working with children for the last 13 years. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2019. Dana has her CDA, and is also certified to work with children who have learning differences. In her free time Dana enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Dana looks forward to teaching your wonderful children all that she knows.

• Joycelyn

  Joycelyn moved to the United States from the Caribbean Island, Grenada, in March of 2023 and is excited to be a part of the Goddard School Newtown Square family. She is a seasoned educator who is thoroughly experienced in managing young children’s needs and wants. Prior to moving to the US, she started her own tutoring service in her community to help students who were negatively impacted by the pandemic. In addition to that, she worked as a mathematics teacher at her high school alma mater. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology, summa cum laude, and an associate degree in Natural Science (honors). Joycelyn enjoys hiking and sight-seeing with her family, traveling with her husband and eating a delicious fudge brownie!

• Kristen

  Kristen has been a part of the Goddard family since 2020. Kristen graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Chester University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. She also holds a Pennsylvania professional teacher certificate in General Education PK-4 and a Special Education Degree from PK to 8th grade. She has been a substitute teacher in multiple school districts. Kristen has also lifeguarded for over twelve years, and teaches both children of all ages and adults how to swim. She holds a very strong passion for teaching children and believes in three beliefs: all children grow, learn, and develop in their own unique ways, and that children learn best when the lesson is fun and engaging. She loves coming up with creative ideas to teach children through fun and engaging activities.

• Lauren

  Lauren has been a part of the Goddard family since 2022. She graduated from West Chester University with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in Deaf Studies, as well as having many years of experience in childcare. When Lauren is not at work, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading a good book, or simply spending time outdoors.

• Miss Rosetta

  Miss. Rosetta is the assistant teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2018. She has over fifteen years experience with children between the ages of two and six years old. Miss. Rosetta loves every moment of teaching. She has a great passion to teach and enjoys the opportunity to watch children grow and flourish. Miss. Rosetta was born and raised in Italy, she currently lives in West Chester and treasures spending time with her family and friends.

• Tefani

  Tefani is excited to be part of the Goddard family! She began working in early childhood education five years ago on McGuire Airforce Base. She has obtained her CDA and plans to further her education. For Tefani working with children is so rewarding watching them learn through play, caring for one another, and learning to be independent. In her free time Tefani enjoys traveling, painting, and going for long walks

• Gurjit

  Gurjit is excited to be a part of The Goddard School family! She started her ECE Journey as a student teacher 20 years ago and had the opportunity to work with all the different age groups, from infants to pre-k. She graduated from Temple University and furthered her education at West Chester University, where she completed her Master's in Early Childhood Education. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and taking long walks. A few of her favorite things are gardening, cooking with her boys, and watching the Eagles.
