Bios

• Kavita

  Kavita is the owner of the Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola University, Maryland. Additionally, she has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Audit from the University of Mumbai. Kavita has worked as a teacher and as the Director of Education for the past 15 years. Kavita believes the role of an educator is to prepare children to join the larger community as confident, joyful learners and peace-oriented citizens of the world.

• Jane

  Jane is excited to join The Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Bachelors of Science in elementary education and has been working in the field early childhood education for the past 36 years, most of which have been in management. Jane believes in creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn through play and self discovery. Jane has 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Jane lives in Aston, PA with her husband and her dog.

• Sara

  Sara has her master’s degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor’s degree from Widener University. She has 7 years of experience working with children from 12 weeks-12 years old. Teaching is her passion, and she loves watching the children expand their knowledge. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, doing crafts, and walking her dogs.

• Miss Colleen

  Miss Colleen has over twenty years experience working with children. She been a part of the Goddard family since 2019. Colleen has her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Neumann University. She spent five years teaching third grade and another three years teaching second grade. After taking time off to be a stay at home mom Miss. Colleen went back into the school environment to work with special needs children. Miss Colleen enjoys teaching and loves working with her class at the Goddard School. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and loves everything Disney related.

• Mr Jason

  Mr. Jason has taught Head Start, PreK Counts and Kindergarten in Philadelphia for the past 12 years. He currently has an M.Ed. in Education from Temple University with a Level 2 Early Childhood Certification in Pennsylvania. He has mentored new teachers as well at different program sites across Philadelphia. He loves seeing children learn and grow as responsible students getting ready for Kindergarten and beyond. In his free time he keeps himself busy with his pets, house projects and outdoor activities like gardening and playing with his pug "Connor".

• Karin

  Miss Karin moved to the United States 18 years ago from Sweden. She has been working with infants to kindergarten age for over 18 years and loves every minute of it. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2019. During the summer time she coaches swimming at Riddlewood swim club. On her time off, she loves spending time with her husband, two children and cats. She enjoys taking care of her honey bees, making soap and other crafts.

• Lauren

  Lauren has been a part of the Goddard family since 2022. She graduated from West Chester University with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in Deaf Studies, as well as having many years of experience in childcare. When Lauren is not at work, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading a good book, or simply spending time outdoors.

• Lessy

  Lessy is so excited to be a part of our Goddard Family! She has a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Mercy University. Her hobbies include karaoke, watching series/movies, and spending quality time with her husband and 1-year-old son. What she enjoys about teaching is building relationships with the students and making teaching fun.

• Miss Nadiyah

  Nadiyah has her CDA as well as over fourteen years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Nadiyah has been apart of the Goddard family since 2017. Nadiyah enjoys working with the children in her class each day. She enjoys singing and laughing with all of the children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

• Natashia

  Natashia has been working in childcare for 17 years. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and plans on going back to school for her bachelor’s degree. She wants to continue to grow as a professional and be a positive role model to the children in her class. She was born in Germany and lived there until she was one. She now resides in Chester PA with her family. She is excited to be a part of the Goddard family!

• Rosalyn

  Rosalyn has been apart of the Goddard family since 2022. Rosalyn has her CDA and over twenty-two years’ experience in the early childhood field. She enjoys reading and teaching the children, especially preschoolers! In her free time Rosalyn likes to spend time with her husband, two children, and two grandchildren. She also keeps busy with her five dogs and guinea pig!

• Angelique

  Angelique has worked in childcare center for over 6 years. She graduated from Delaware County Community College with an Associate’s degree for Early childhood education. Angelique likes to sing, dance and watch them grow each and everyday. She enjoys walking outdoors, learning Japanese, and traveling overseas.

• Blair

  Ms. Blair has a bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Elementary education. She also has over five years’ experience teaching children ages six months to nine years old. She enjoys helping the children in her care learn and grow. In her free time Ms. Blair enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and baking.

• Evionda

  Ms. Evionda is the assistant teacher in the Young Toddler classroom. She is very happy to be a part of The Goddard School. She has been working with children for 3 years. She studied history/geography in her country of Albania. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and likes to watch movies. Her favorite color is green.

• Gina

  Ms. Gina has been teaching in childcare for the past 9 years. She is joining us from another Goddard School in New Jersey. Gina has taught infants through Pre-K. She has her associate’s degree in early childhood Elementary from Delaware County Community College. Ms. Gina enjoys creative art and gross motor activities with the children. In her spare time, she likes to watch Disney movies, color, and spend time with her family.

• Kristen

  Kristen has been a part of the Goddard family since 2020. Kristen graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Chester University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. She also holds a Pennsylvania professional teacher certificate in General Education PK-4 and a Special Education Degree from PK to 8th grade. She has been a substitute teacher in multiple school districts. Kristen has also lifeguarded for over twelve years, and teaches both children of all ages and adults how to swim. She holds a very strong passion for teaching children and believes in three beliefs: all children grow, learn, and develop in their own unique ways, and that children learn best when the lesson is fun and engaging. She loves coming up with creative ideas to teach children through fun and engaging activities.

• Miss Rosetta

  Miss. Rosetta is the assistant teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2018. She has over fifteen years experience with children between the ages of two and six years old. Miss. Rosetta loves every moment of teaching. She has a great passion to teach and enjoys the opportunity to watch children grow and flourish. Miss. Rosetta was born and raised in Italy, she currently lives in West Chester and treasures spending time with her family and friends.

• Gurjit

  Gurjit is excited to be a part of The Goddard School family! She started her ECE Journey as a student teacher 20 years ago and had the opportunity to work with all the different age groups, from infants to pre-k. She graduated from Temple University and furthered her education at West Chester University, where she completed her Master's in Early Childhood Education. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and taking long walks. A few of her favorite things are gardening, cooking with her boys, and watching the Eagles.
